Money & Exchange
In St Martin everything is easy including changing
money.
Most of the shops show prices in US dollars and euros .
You will sometimes see some prices in NAF (it is the Netherland
Antillean money).
For an easy calculation, 1 NAF is about half an US
dollar.
We advise you not to use checks as many places do not accept them. Bring a credit card (Master or Visa), most
shops are equipped for them. You will
find money distributors all over the island.
As well as banks there are exchange offices in many places.
On the island the American dollar is used most of all, even on the
French side where it is legal.
